Got Dog Fur? On Your Clothes? On Your Laundry?
Scott Grillo is the National Sales Manager at FurZapper which is a patented product that was created to provide pet owners with a simple, self-cleaning product that will help keep pet fur off of your laundry.
I thought we’d first just do a quick class on Shedding 101. Shedding is part of the natural life cycle of hair shafts within the hair follicles. All hair shafts, even our own go through phases of growth and shedding. And these phases affect the rate of hair growth and will vary by breed, age, hormones, environment and overall health of the dog. These factors also contribute to the length and texture of the hair.
So, if you have a dog, you most likely go by the motto, “no outfit is complete without dog hair”.
Scott, tell us about how you came up with the FurZapper
How does it work?
Why is the FurZapper better than lint rollers?
Does it remove in the washer and dryer?
Is it safe for your skin?
How long do they last?
Any tips on how to launder most effectively? Like do fabric softeners or dryer sheets make a difference?
I would assume that these are great for dog parents and groomers as well? I’m sure they go through a lot of towels in their line of work.
What is your business model? Where are they sold?
How does the glove work?
Any other products that you’re developing?
Any success stories?

The Wag Out Loud pawdcast is supported by listeners like you! I started the show as a passion project that would help all of us make well-informed decisions for our dogs’ health and well-being. After many amazing guests, intriguing topics and incredible feedback, I realized the WOL pawdcast is exactly what I wanted to do. I am mission-driven and work hard to produce the best possible show I can, and I trust that if you find value in my work and have the means, you will choose to contribute. It would not be possible to consistently produce a quality show without the listener support that I receive. Thanks to all of the dog lovers out there!
